EVENTS AT NEW BRIGHTON. The New Zealand W T htppet Racing Club held its winter meeting at New Brighton this afternoon, when there was a good attendance of spectators. Restricted to dogs 201 b and under. J. R. D. Johns’s Silver Bird (33yds) 1 L C. Fern’s and J. Watson's Tootie Mahru (33yds) 2 L. Holbrough’s and L. Curry’s Joybird (32yds) 3 Won by half a length, with a similar distance between second and third. Time—ll 4-ssec. WINTER CUP FLAT HANDICAP, 200 yards, with a limit of 20 yards. J. R. D.
