WESTLAND PIONEER DEAD
Per Frees Association. HOKITIKA, August 14. A pioneer settler in South Westland. Thomas Condon, died last night, aged 90 years. Mr Condon arrived on the Coast in the early days and ran the south mail for several years along the beach. He lived first at Gillespie's Beach, finally settling at Mahitahi, near Bruce Bay, where his sons carry on stock-raising.
