Mr H. G. Ell hag started a party working on the new foot track from the Sign of the Kiwi to the Governor’s Bay gap and ultimately there will be a track, clear of the road, the whole way to Kennedy’s Bush. Another party of men are clearing tussocks from the now overgrown track from the Kiwi to Mt. Pleasant, and in particular defining the main track where it meets the Mitchell track. Trampers have pleasant alternative walks either north or south of Mt. Sugarloaf on this route.
