WINTER SHOW.

Huge Crowds Attending Big Exhibition.

The opening night gave promise of the big success which subsequent attendances have confirmed. Residents and visitors alike are anxious to see for themselves the quality and value of the manufactured articles produced in the Exhibition itself by workmen from local factories and workshops, and where these working demonstrations are shown the crowds are thickest. Judgment is keen and impartial and it is gratifying indeed to know the definite conviction is that no doubt can exist, as to the merits of New Zealand-made goods. For true economy they win on those merits and from this viewpoint alone the Show can be considered to have served a most successful purpose in the interests of the individual, of the manufacturers, of the employers and of the general community. The entire Exhibition has a compelling and long remembered attraction in every section and stand, and no less enjoyable are the entertainments and side-shows, all of which are of high excellence. The young folk are well catered for and their joy is unbounded, particular happiness being afforded by the Wool Fairies, who, in song and film and pageant and carnival, unfold the wonders of wool and the health it brings to all and the wealth it brings to the country—a feature of the show in which the parents display as much interest as the children. Certainly the Winter Show is a place to visit until every exhibit has been studied and judged so that the fullest benefits to every individual visitor can be derived from the many displays that are made for that very important purpose.
