FURTHER RELIEF.

Proposals of Unemployment Board. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 11. Replying to Mr Fletcher (Independent, Grey Lynn) in the House to-day the Hon S. G. Smith, Minister of Labour, said the Unemployment Board was doing its utmost with the funds available to provide relief. There were 48.396 registrations at present and the board was expending £50,000 per week, which was the amount of anticipated , revenue under the amended Act. The Government and the board were now considering other pioposals for further J relief.
