Foot Ease All Day.
It Occurs to Me
'J'IIE APPEARANCE of clogs as a New Zealand product at the Winter Show, where other manufacturers are also exhibiting the very latest in shoe fashions, suggests that the foot-needs of this country cover a very wide range. And yet it is doubtful whether the average person has in his or her wardrobe enough changes to ensure proper foot ease, or if they have, whether they change their shoes often enough. The householder who pays his feet the respect due to them, might find daily use for shoes from wooden-soled clogs for the garden, comfortable lowheeled house shoes, firmer walking shoes and so on to the light, smart evening shoe. Footwear should certainly be adapted to one’s occupation and recreation. Women who wear the court shoe find it easy and beneficial to make frequent changes in the course of the day, but it is doubtful whether the indoor needs of men have yet been sufficiently exploited to give them something not too homely nor yet too dressy.
