WINTER TOURNAMENT. Senior Matches. It was anticipated that the meeting for the third time of Cashmere and Sydenham would provide a close contest. This proved to be correct, the result being a draw, both teams scoring 54 9. The leaders of the competition (Cashmere) opened badly with two scores of 67 to Sydenham’s possible and a 07. Cashmere made a good recovery, putting on two possibles and a 69. Both teams then had their bad scores, and, with two men to go, Cashmere were two points up on Sydenham. Returned Soldiers and Cashmere B had a good match, which resulted in a win for the Soldiers’ team by one point. Casnmere B appeared to have the match well in hand at the commencement, as their opening men shot well, but the last two or three failed badly. With the last four men shooting well up to form, Returned Soldiers were able to win by 549 to 548. Both totals were good ones, and C. Farley (69), J. Bassett (69), P. Riches (69), D.
