TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Mrs G. Morrison (Branscombe Street) has left for Christchurch. Miss Lesley Hay (Christchurch), who has been the guest of Mrs G. Pitts (Waimate), has returned home. Miss June Batchelor (Dunedin), left yesterday to be the guest of Mrs Herbert Elworthv (“Craigmore”). Miss Joyce Edgar Jones (“Otiritiri”) is the guest of Miss Helen Rich (Christchurch), for the races. Miss M'Lean (Cheviot) is the guest of Mrs Simon Mackenzie (“Otumarama”). Mr and Mrs H. B. S. Johnstone, Miss Catherine Johnstone and Mr E. Johnstone (“Springbank,” Otaio) motored to Christchurch yesterday. Miss Mary Cameron (Hinakoura), who has been the guest of Mrs W. H. Hargreaves (Kakahu), has left for Christchurch for National Week. Mr and Mrs H. A. LeCren and Miss Aileen LeCren (“Nga Punawai”), who have been spending some months at The Bungalow, Wai-iti Road, returned to Fairlie yesterday. Mrs W. FI. Helmore and Miss Elena Ifelmore (“Koromiko”), left for Christchurch yesterday, accompanied by Mrs N. A. Rattray (“Ngahere,” Waimatfe), and Miss Diana Orbell (The Levels).
