RUGBY FOOTBALL.
HURUNUI SUB-UNION. The competition Rugby game*? played at Waiau on Saturday reaulted in a win for the local team in each game. In the senior match Waiau defeated Cheviot by 15 points to 6. Mr C. Deans was referee. Tries were scored for Waiau by R. M'Donala. J. Sutherland and L.. Bullocks, all being converted by C. Hoskins. In the Junior game the scores were, Waiau 9, Cheviot 6. Mr K. Foster was referee. For Waiau tries were scored by C. Powis, M'Donald and A. Mitchell. The games for Saturday next arc Waiau v. Waikari at Waiau.
