Lonsdale’s ch g by Strath William— Madam Cyrus, .aged, 9.6 (Warner) 3 Thirteen horses started. Acceleration led nearly all the way and won by four lengths, a neck separating second and third horses. Only seven finished. Kentle fell and injured a shoulder. Olina broke down. Bang Bang and Welcome Stranger fell. The race was poorly contested, the field being strung out all the way.
