BIG MATCH BOOKED FOR CIVIC TO-MORROW NIGHT.
Til os© who wish to see the big wrestling match to-morrow night between Kara Pasha, “ The 'Terrible Turk,” and Harry Demetral, the famous Greek wrestler, would be well advised to buy their tickets without delay, otherwise they will have to risk the chance of being turned away from the Civic Theatre, where the match is to take place. Ever since the salo of tickets opened at Lange’s, United Service buildings, there has been a heavy demand for seats, and as it is a race night, there is sure to be a record crowd in attendance. Pasha has been training very hard for the big match, and though ho thinks he will beat the Greek he states it will probably be one of the most difficult battles in his career. The pair have met twice previously, the decision going to the Turk on the first occasion, and the second match being drawn The first match, which turned out to be one of the most sensational ever held in Wellington. went to the Turk as the result of his gaining the only fall in the match with his deadly “ Boston crab.” When the pair met for the second time in Palmerston North. T>©metral gained the first fall in the match and it seemed almost certain he must win the bout until the last two minuter of the last round when Pasha once more secured his deadly hold, and a draw was the outcome. Both men are great wrestlers, and the contest tomorrow niprht should prove to be most exciting. The international bout will be preceded by four interesting amateur matches.
