SALES MANAGER TO PAY FINE OF £25.
MAGISTRATE ALLOWS RETENTION OF LICENSE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 10. Alfred Richard Amey, a foreman motor mechanic, aged forty-two, was fined £25 to-day on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car. His licensed was endorsed. Counsel for Amey said that he had been sales manager for Dominion Motors for seven years. He was married with five children, and counsel was authorised to say that if defendant could keep his license he could keep his position. Mr Woodward, S.M.: I don’t want to deprive a man who has five children of employment if I can do justice without it.
