CABLE OF WORKS LIFT GIVES WAY.

YOUNG MAN INJURED IN GARAGE ACCIDENT. Nelson Maxell, aged twenty-one, residing at 13 Jerrold Street, received injuries to the head this morning, at the used car department of Dominion Motors, through the cable of a works lift breaking. Ilaxell had driven a motor-car on to the platform of the lift, not designed to carry passengers, preparatory to proceeding to the first floor, when the overhead gear gave wav. and the lift platform fell down the lift well, a distance of about twenty feet. Me aS able to extricate himself without difficulty, tut his admission to hospital was considered necessary. Ilis condition is satisfactory.
