PARIS UNEASY OVER GERMANY’S FINANCES.

FOREIGN EXCHANGES IN LONDON AFFECTED. (Received August 6, noon.) RUGBY, August 5. An unexpected fall in sterling on the foreign exchange this morning was followed by a sharp rally in the afternoon. This is attributed by the Press to renewed uneasiness in Paris regarding the German situation. However, according to to-day’s advices from Berlin, business attending the re-opening of the banks was normal and the general reports are reassuring. A Berlin message states that any anxiety as to how the public would behave on the a-e-opening of the banks was quickly dispelled. There was not a semblance of panic. Hundreds of special police found themselves idle.
