MAUI POMARE left. Auckland on July 29 for Niue Island and Apia. MORINDA was despatched from Auckland on July 31 fur Norfolk Island. SHIPPING NOTES. KIWITEA from Auckland is expected at Lyttelton to-day via Wellington. On discharging she proceeds to Dunedin, Timaru and Greymouth. POOLTA is expected on Thursday from Dunedin via Oamaru and Timaru. She loads fox* Napier and Gisborne. WINGATUI is due on August 11 from Portland via Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is expected to proceed to Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru the same evening. WAIPIATA is scheduled to arrive on August 14 from Bluff. Dunedin and Timaru to load for Wellington and Auckland. WAIMARINO, due to-morrow from the south, loads for W’ellington, Pictoft and Auckland. OPT FIT loads at Lyttelton on Friday for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. KANNA from Westport via Bluff and Timaru. is due on August 12. KUKU is expected to load at Lyttelton to-day for Nelson, Motueka and W’ellington. STORM, from Wellington, is due tomorrow on her way to Dunedin. FOXTON, which has been delayed at' Foxton by westerly weather, is expected at Lyttelton at any time. On discharging she loads for Foxton. TITOKI is due here to-morrow from Tarakohe with cement. On discharging she loads for Nelson, Mapua and Motueka. TASMAN AND PACIFIC. W’AIKOUAITI is due at Bluff on Thursday from Newcastle and Sydney. The vessel is an expected arrival at Lyttelton on August 8.
WAINUI arrived at Bluff yesterday and is due at Dunedin to-day. The vessel should arrive at. Lyttelton tomorrow to continue unloading Melbourne cargo. She is scheduled to make her departure from Lyttelton tomorrow evening for W’ellington, Bluff and Melbourne. KARETIJ will load at Adelaide on Thursday for Wellington. GOLDEN COAST is now due here tomorrow from Wellington to continue unloading of cargo from the Pacific Coast. PARRAKOOLA will leave San Francisco on August 22 and Los Angeles on August 26 for Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is due at Auckland on September 12. OVERSEAS VESSELS. CITY OF CHRISTIANIA is due at Auckland from New York on August 15. W’ellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin will be her other discharging ports before she crosses over to Australia to load. HERMINIUS, which left Liverpool on July 7 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth, is due at Auckland on August 14. PORT GISBORNE is due at Wellington from London on August 22, via Panama, and at Auckland on August 27. RANGITANE is expected at Wellington on August 12 from London, via Southampton and Panama. REMUERA, which was timed to leave London on July 31 for Auckland and Wellington, is expected at Auckland on September 6. TAINUI is expected at W’ellington from London, via Suva, on Fridas’, and Lyttelton the following day. rURIRI, from New York, is expected at Auckland on Monday next. She will also unload at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian Constructor, from Montreal. is expected at Auckland on August 7 and leaves the following day for Wellington. where she is due on August 11. The vessel should arrive at Lyttelton on August 13, and is expected to leave the same day for Dunedin and Bluff. RUAPEHU SOLD. Advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the liner Ruaneliu, which traded for many years in t.he London-New Zealand passenger trade, has been sold. The vessel had completed sixty-six voyages to New Zealand and back to London, on arrival at Home on her last voyage. MATAROA REPORTS “ALL WELL.” Mataroa, which left Wellington on July 29 for Southampton and London, with passengers and cargo, has reported by wireless (hat nil are well on board and that favourable weather has been experienced since leaving port. BRISBANE MARU. Brisbane Maru left Risdon (Tasmania) at noon on Saturday for W’ellington, where she is due about midday on Wednesday. She is to sail the following day for Auckland. OTAIO COMPLETES DISCHARGE. Otaio completed the discharge of her Liverpool cargo at Dunedin yesterday and is expected to leave there early tomorrow for Brisbane. PORT GISBORNE LEAVES COLON. Fin route from London, the Port Brisbane left Colon on Saturday for Wellington, where she is due on August 23. PORT ALMA FROM NEW YORK. Port Alma left New York on Thursday for New Zealand, via Tampico. She is due at Auckland about September 7. CITY OF KIMBERLEY. The transhipping of the City of Kimberley’s cargo for the various New Zealand and Australiat ports has been completed and the vessel is now lying at Auckland awaiting a new propeller shaft and propeller from England. PERSONAL. Captain C. Sharpe is now in command of t.he Poolta, relieving Captain W’. W. Fish, who has come ashore at W’ellington on sick leave. Captain C. J. Hackworth has been appointed master of the Kaimai, which lias recommissioned at Wellington, and his officers are;—Chief. Mr F. W. Young; second. Mr J. M’Neil; third. Mr C. A. Banker; chief engineer. Mr A. W. BagIcy; second, Mr W. M. Jackson; third, Mr A. Fell. Captain E. Evans. master of the Laongana, is. on holiday leave, the vessel having been laid up. Mr E. A. Stein, who was chief officer of the vessel, has transferred to the Oonah in a similar capacity, relieving Mr E. A. Buckingham. who, in turn, has transferred to the Kowhai, relieving Mr L. IT. English. Mr W. A. Dawn, second officer of the Loongana, has transferred to the Oonah in a similar capacity, relieving Mr .T. George, who is proceeding to VUellingMr G. M. Coote recently joined the W’ingatui at W’ellington as third officer and Mr J. Lyon has joined the Waipiata as second officer. Mr F. J. Cochrane has rejoined the Kakariki as second officer at Melbourne, relieving Mr F. 11. G. Clark, who has transferred to the Ngakuta in a similar capacity, relieving Mr R. Ainsworth for further orders. Captain G. B. Morgan recently took command of the Waimarino. Captain W. A. Gray having been granted holiday leave at Wellington. Captain W*. H. D. Gardner is taking command of the W’ingaipi at Auckland in place of Captain W. W’hitefield. who will be taking holidays. Captain R. L. Davies is now master of the Waiotapu. relieving Captain A. H. Prosser, who is proceeding to Wellington for instructions. Captain A. W. Crease has been appointed master of the Talune. relieving Captain A. Murray for holidav«=.
