(Special to the “Star.”) TIMARU, July 23. “ It is most important that the police should know where all rifles are, and ignorance of the law is no excuse.” said Mr C. R Orr-Walker, S.M., in the Timaru Magistrate’s Court to-day, in fining Walter Richard Griffen £1 and costs for procuring firearms without a permit.
