A new cruiser, which cost more than £1750 000 was commissioned at Plymouth on Tuesday for service with the Second Cruiser Squadron of the Atlantic Fleet The cruiser is probably either H M.S. Surrey or H.M.S. Northumberland, both of which were to be completed this vear. They are of 8400 tons, and are armed with six eight-inch guns.
