WRECKAGE OF MISSING LAUNCH SCOTIA FOUND
Per Press Association. WANGANUI, July 22. Wreckage found beneath the cliff* three miles north of the Wanganui River mouth has been identified as belonging to the launch Scotia which left Wanganui five weeks ago on a fishing cruise. Aboard the ill-fated craft were William Young, a single man aged forty-five years, and William Emmery, a single man aged thirty-five, both residents of Wanganui. The wreckage consists of a portion of a mast with a piece of sail attached and several pieces of white-painted board which are attached to the foot of the mast and apparently have been torn from the bottom of the boat. The owner of the launch is certain that the wreckage is part of the Scotia, as he recognises some electric light fittings on the mast.
