Week’s Heavy Weather Curtails Supplies of all Sorts of Fish.
Overseas fruits of all sorts are still remarkably cheap. Citrus fruits are especially plentiful, and the shops in the city are carrying large stocks which are being offered most reasonably. Vegetables are also plentiful and cheap. Meat prices are still reasonable, but there are signs that this market will harden further.
Fish has been dear during the week, and prices are still high. Supplies are short on account of the rough weather. Owing to rough seas in Foveaux Strait, there have been no oysters in the shops since Friday last. It is probable that a small stock will arrive to-day. Meat.
