EXCELLENT PROGRAMME.
“Old Soldiers Xever Die,” a good British talkie with the humor< us side of war as its background and the inimitable Leslie Fuller as the star, heads the programme at the Regent Theatre this week. “Children of Chance" is also screened. “TELL EXGLAND.’’ Slowly but surely British talking pictures are coming into their own. In only one respect is that industry inferior to the American—in output. But American pictures, while enjoying considerable popularity in this country, are designed primarily for American audiences. In the early “talkie” days the Americans were off to a flying start, and admittedly left the English industry standing. As time goes on, however, the number of notable successes originating from England is steadily growing. And the greatest of these is “Tell England.” a picture that does indeed challenge comparison with anything America has yet offered in the screen world. “ Tell England ” will be presented at the Regent on Saturday.
