MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD IN DANGEROUS STATE

Mr .T. S. Ilawkes, secretary of the Canterbury Automobile Association, stated to-day that the Mount Pleasant Road from the tea house to Evan’s Pass was in a dangerous condition for motor traffic at present. lie said that motorists would be well advised not to use the road during the winter as it is unmetalled and very greasy. A number of car drivers had struck trouble travelling on it recently.
