OPIUM DEN RAIDED BY POLICE.—A hack view of the house situated at 39, Allen Street, City, which was raided by the police last evening. Owing to the strong barricades which had been erected much time was occupied in effecting an entrance. The smashed window, shown in this picture, was broken by the police with the heavy piece of concrete (inset). The occupier of the premises was fined £IOO in the Magistrate’s Court, and three others £2O each.
