VIOLENCE IS REPORTED IN SPANISH PROVINCES.

EXCITEMENT GROWING AS ELECTIONS APPROACH.

MADRID, June 24. \v ith the approach of the general election on Sunday, excitement is growing in the provinces. A mob of two hundred, after disarming the Municipal Guard in a small town near Seville, deposed the Mayor, seizing the mace and keys.

A crowd of villagers in the province of Ciudad Real smashed the instruments of a band which refused to play revolutionary airs.

A message from Seville says that Major Franco, who is a Republican hero since Alfonso's overthrow, has incurred critical injuries which were caused by the collapse of a platform from which he was addressing a political meeting at Lora del Rio. Twenty occupants of the platform were flung down, and several were seriously injured.
