" Dead man's handle ” is the name given to part of the driving handle of an electric train. Pressure mu?t be kept upon this part all the time the train is in motion. If the. pressure is removed the train automatically stops. The purp’ose of this device is to guard against accidents owing to the illness or sudden death of a driver when a train is in motion.
