In winning the honour of being the foggiest part of the United States for 1930 the coast of Maine took first, second and third places. Moose Peak Lighthouse won first place with 1526 hours of fog. Libby Island and Petit Manan, also on the Maine coast, won second and third places. Fourth plac* went to Point Reyes, on the Californian coast, where there were 1398 hour* of fog. The record for fog for any year so far is held by Seguin Light. In 1907 2734 hours of fog were recoided at that part of th* Maine coast.
