OPENS PARLIAMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Instead of delirious cheering greeting King Carol at the opening of his first Parliament, a silent, listless crowd witnessed King Carol and Prince Michael drive to Parliament in a magnificent carriage drawn by six jet black horses. The erstwhile boy-king shifted restlessly while his father read the Royal Message. He was troubled, and
