RANGIORA BOWLING AND TENNIS CLUB MEETS.
The first meeting of the newly-elected general committee c.-f the TJangiora Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club, held on Monday evening', was attended by the chairman (Mr C. 11. Hargreaves) and all the other members.
Fifteen resignations referred by the annual general meeting to the committee to be dealt with were considered. A suggestion that some of the older members included in the fifteen should be asked to reconsider their resignations was not entertained, and all were ac-
cepted. A protest received from two members of the croquet section against the action of the annual meeting of croquet players in refusing to endorse a statement in the annual report to the effect that they had won the senior doubles cham-
pionship was received. A point of order was raised that as the matter was purely a sectional one. and had been decided by the croquet players, it was not within the province of the general commitfee to interfere with the deision arrived at.
