SEDDON CUP MATCH. (Special to the “Star.”) GRETMOUTH, June 4. The annual golf match for the Seadon Cup between Greymouth and Hokitika was played on the Mahinapua links yesterday and resulted in a win for Greymouth by 16 games to 8. The following were the results, Greymouth players mentioned first;— Men’s Singles—McCarthy beat Steel 5 and 4; Mel drum lost to Chesney 2 down; A. K. Smith and Adamson all square; Coltman beat O'Doherty 2 and 1; Shalicrass lost to Cox 1 down; Curran lost to Wilson 2 down; Moss beat Cagney 1 up; Buchanan beat" Irwin 2 up; D. M’Kay beat Bowker 1 up; Bell lost to Kortegast 3 down; Casey beat M’Farlane 6 and 4. Ladies’ Singles—Mrs Hannan beat Miss King 5 and 4; Miss H. The Buller Golf Club had a successful tournament yesterday, players from Reef ton. Westport and Karamea competing. The links were in good order. Tn a match for the ladies’ shield ' West Coast Challenge Shield) Buller held the trophy against Reefton (challengers) by 19 points. The scores were;—Duller—Mrs Slee 90. Mrs Bird •6, Mrs Mullan 111, Mrs Dutlife lif,. Reefton—Mrs Instone 101, Mrs Patterson 105, Mrs Sharpe 112, Mrs Gore Porter 114. The eclectic match resulted In a tie between Mesdames Patterson (Reefton) and Bird (Buller) 36.
