WOOL STILL SHOWS AN IMPROVEMENT.

BETTER PRICES GIVEN AT FOURTH OFFERING. The fourth woo! sale of the season was held in the Caledonian Hall yesterday, when 17,317 hales were submitted at auction. The selection generally was much better than is usual at this time of the year, owing to a fair proportion of the better clips being held over by growers, and showed a distinct improvement on the previous sale. Bidding was fairly general and at times keen, especially for finer quality wools and pieces, the latter meeting with exceptionally keen demand at increased prices.

The following is the range of prices: d. d.
