Sir Harry McGowan’s annual report in connection with Imperial Chemicals shows that physical production for 1930 compared with 1929 decreased in the United Kingdom by 8 per cent, in Germany 16 per cent, in Canada 14 per cent and in the United States 17 per cent. Unemployment increased in England 72 per cent, in Germany 4S per cent, in Italy 55 per cent, in Canada 49 per l cent, and in Australia SI per cent.
