It considers the proposed change to be j one of false economy, as it is well : known that the magistrates in all oen- ; tres are already fully occupied, and if taken from their duties help would have to be provided and so the State would receive no relief. ]t is further pointed out that Sir Walter Stringer has given complete satisfaction not only to the t Returned Soldiers’ Association, but also the general public. Having also one chairman for the Dominion means a uniformity of oonsidei-at ion for all cases coming before the board.” Headquarters wrote asking the association to supply a return showing accu- ! rate figures of unemployed returned men. i this return to be forwarded monthly.
