RANGI HAS NOT REACHED SYDNEY.
EARLIER REPORT IS NOW PROVED INCORRECT. (United Press Assn.—By Electric - Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received April 1, 1.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 1. The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron advises that it can find no trace of the yacht Rangi. , The vessel which entered the harbour in the .early hours of the morning was a fishing smack. : VESSEL DID NOT REPLY TO SIGNAL FROM HEADS. (Received April 1, noon.) . SYDNE Y,’. April 1. Later information states that South Head Signal Station advises that a yacht carrying two masts and small lights, and resembling the Rangi, entered the Heads early this morning. When called on to give her name the yacht failed to do so, and disappeared in the haze and drizzling rain. Visibility at the time was very bad, but it was surmised that the arrival was the Rangi.
The crew of the Rangi are:—-Lieutenant-Commander W. C. Juler (navigator), Messrs E. Spraggon, D. Kirkcaldie and A. Clarke, all of Auckland.
