BANDA SEA PROBABLE SEAT OF EARTHQUAKE.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received March 31, 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 31. Father Cleary, in charge of the Riverview Observatory, states that the earthquake recorded on Saturday night occurred 2400 miles north-west of Sydney, probably somewhere in the Banda Sea. The absence of reports of damage made it likely that the disturbance was sub-oceanic.
