MAGISTRATE HEARS RANGIORA CASES.

At a sitting of the Rangiora Magistrate’s Court to-day, Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., presided. Order Dismissed. An application by Mrs A. E. Urquhart (Mr Kippenberger) against Charles Chambers (Mr Johnston), for a maintenance order in respect to two grandchildren was dismissed. Judgment for Plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following cases: New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., v. O. Anderson, £8 0s lid; Ilelmore, Van Asch and Walton v. Humphrey Wild, £2 13s 3d; Palmer and Doak, Ltd., v. T. Green, ISs: Allan Miles v. S. D. Wilson, £l ls; same v. Walter Taituha, £2 3s 6d; T. J. Griffiths v. A. Middleton, £3 13s 3d; Taylor Bros. v. John Cox, 12s. On a judgment summons, A. Davidson was ordered to pay S. Wood £4 17s 5d forthwith, in default five days’ imprisonment. Orders Cancelled. Applications by C. F. Le Cren for a re-hearing of judgment summons cases, in which the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., and E. Voller obtained orders against him, were granted, and the summonses cancelled in each case. CHILDREN’S COURT. Nine boy s appeared in the Children’s Court, charged with breaking telegraph insulators. They were admonished and discharged. The parents were ordered to pay for the damage.
