The committee of the Opawa-St Martins branch of the Plunket Society has organised a garden fete which, through the courtesy of Mr Johnson, will be held at Johnson’s Fish Ponds, Opawa, on Saturday next. There will be a variety of stalls and amusements, also a prize for the best fancy dress for children. The fete will be opened by the Mayor at 2 p m. and will continue until 10 p.m.
