D’Oridant, a resident of Addington, said to-day that quinnut salmon were getting so numerous that if they were not supplied with a natural food fish they would simply destroy all the fish in the New Zealand rivers and the sea as well. “My authority for saying this,” Mr D’Oridant added, “is that in my long experience of fishing off the coast of New Zealand the catches of sea fish have decreased by about 80 per cent. The salmon, being one of the most prolific fish and undoubtedly one of the fastest , swimmers, no fish can get away from It.” BOVLZirO.
