ANN HARDING HAS LEAD IN TALKIE AT REGENT.
.Mi emotional drama of high society and wealth, interpreted by stage and screen players of prominence, and produced on a highly pretentious scale, “ Holiday ” is at once impressive and charming. There is a good supporting programme. "LIFE OF THE PARTY." WINNIE LIGHTNER STARS IX TBCHNICOLOUR COMEDY. “ The Life of the Party,” which will begin on Saturday at the Regent, has Winnie Lightner, Irene Delroy, Jack Whiting, Charles Butterworth, Charles Judele, John Davidson and Arthur Hoyt featured in the cast. It is an American comedy of the best kind, and presents Winnie Lightner in a role similar to the one she portrayed in “ The Gold Diggers of Broadway.” The film is produced in technicolour, and the best scenes are to be seen at a big race meeting, at which Winnie Lightner assumes the role of a jockey in order to ride a horse on which she has invested the whole of her money.
