To the already long: list of British screen successes must be added the brilliant revue, 44 Klstree Calling,” which is the star atti'action on an excellent all-round programme at St James’ Theatre this week. The picture is the first British revue to be screened in Christchurch, and its variety and many new and attractive features should find favour with any audience. It is a blend of bright comedy, burlesque, variety turns, colourful ensembles. singing and dancing, presented by a very talented cast of players. The second feature, “ Cockney Spirit in the War,” is also a British production.
