TO-DAY’S RECIPE.
SAVOURY MACARONI. Ingredients:— 6oz macaroni. Jib raw liver. *lb haricot beans. 1 eggA little butter. 1 dessertspoonful made mustard. Salt and pepper to taste. Very thin slices of liver, sealed in boiling water then dipped in seasoned, beaten egg and fried. Boil the broken-up macaroni, raw liver and beans separately, and drain them thoroughly. Cut up the liver, and mix all together Add the whipped egg, melted butter, mustard and plenty of seasoning. Mix well, turn into a greased mould and steam for about an hour. Turn out, and serve piping hot, with the hot fried liver slices and brown bread-and-butter rather than potatoes.
