ANOTHER MOVE IN CRICKET DISPUTE.
PROMINENT PLAYER DROPPED FROM TEAM. (United Press Assn.—By Elec* * Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received January 8, 150 pm.) BRISBANE, January 8. Despite the announcement that the executive cf the Queensland Cricket Association had deferred taking any action in the dispute between the players and the State selectors until after the conclusion of the Third Test, the omission of Goodwin, secretary of the committee that was formed to conduct the dispute with the State selectors, for the forthcoming match against the West Indies, savours of victimisation. Judging on the season’s results Goodwin should have been one of the first players to be selected, as he had secured a good batting average, is an excellent fieldsman, and a fair ; bowler. It is rumoured that the dropping of Goodwin is part of the plan of the selectors to discipline the players who did see eye to eye with them. It is sugyested that one or two of the leading players will be omitted for thfe match.
