THETRE ROYAL SHOWS MAGNIFICENT PICTURE.
«Africa Speaks.” which is being shown at the Theatre Royal, must rank an one of the greatest triumphs to date Of the sound film. The most thrilling scene shows a fight with lions and the death of the party's guide, Kaka, a native. There is a good programme oi "shorts”. “OK APPROVAL.” One cannot fail to appreciate the witty repartee that scintillates in “ On Approval,” the all dialogue Frederick Lonsdale comedy which comes to the Theatre Royal next Saturday. The film is fortunate in having such brilliant dialogue penned by the inimitable Frederick Lonsdale, and Mr Lonsdale is equally fortunate in having a splendid cast—Tom Walls, Edmond Breon, Yvonne Arnaud and Winifred Shotter—to give the point and finesse necessary. Altogether a happy combination and one that gives genuine entertainment and enjoyment. " On Approval ” ran for a considerable period at the Fortune Theatre, London, and proved a great success. When the film was shown in London the critics stated that the screen version was as great, if not greater, than the play. More need not be said.
