COMPANY DECLARES FOUR PER CENT DIVIDEND.
Australian Cement, Ltd., Melbourne, which is amalgamated with Kandos Cement Company, Ltd., under the style Australian Portland Cement Proprietary. Ltd., has declared a dividend of 4 per cent out of profits for the year ended November 30, subject to audit, and to the final closing of the company's books. The company paid in September a dividend of 2$ per cent out of special reserve account. Dividend for the previous year was 15 per cent, including a bonus of 5 per cent.
N.Z. INSURANCE CO. TO PAY INTERIM DIVIDEND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 6. The directors of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd., have declared an interim dividend of Is per share for the half-year ended November 30, 1930. Last year the interim dividend was lid per share and a final dividend of Is per share was paid.
BUSINESS QUIET ON SYDNEY EXCHANGE.

Investment stocks traded very quietly on exchange when business was resumed after the Christmas vacation. Prices in nearly all sections were easier. Business was restricted partly by the fact that the New Zealand Stock Exchange has not yet reopened.
