PROFESSOR APOLOGISES FOR EXCESSIVE ZEAL.

Father Christmas Court action was withdrawn after an amicable settlement. • The professor who told plaintiff’s son that there was no Father Christmas apologised for hi.s excessive zeal in destroying the child’s charming illusion and oftered to pay £4 damages, which was all he could afford. The child's father quadrupled the amount and handed all to the family of a poor man who was killed in a motor smash during Christmas. Incensed because a teacher had told his son that there was no Father Christmas a French father began a Court action on December 28 against the professor. claiming damages.
