BOY SWIMMER STRUCK BY LOG.
DIES IN THE GREYMOUTH HOSPITAL FROM INJURIES. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, January 6. An unusual fatality occurred in the Surf this evening, about 7.30, at Cameron’s, a few miles south of Greymouth. A boy, Arthur Greengrass, aged fifteen, of Waiuta, with others, was swimming, when one of several logs in the surf struck him on the head, fracturing his skull. He was conveyed to the Grey Hospital, but died on admission.
