TEAM OF BOWLERS ON VISIT TO N. Z.
AUSTRALIAN RINKS REACH AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 7. A party of Australian bowlers arrived by the Ulimaroa. to-day and will compete in the Dominion championships opening here next Monday. The party were welcomed by Mr James Pascoe, Dominion president, and Mr J. M. Thomson, Auckland president. The leader of the party, Mr T. Yates, replying to the official welcome, said that it was difficult to make a large touring team owing to the economic conditions in Australia, but two rinks had arrived and a third was due by the Niagara next Monday. After the tournament the whole party will visit Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston, Masterton, Wellington and Christchurch. Those who arrived to-day are going to Rotorua immediately.
