MANY PEOPLE MAKE FOR PLEASURE RESORTS
The holiday feeling is still very much in the air. To-day was an ordinary work-a-day Saturday for people in most lines of business, but thoughts were not very much on work. There was a restlessness about the shops and offices, and a greater tendency than usual to note the progress of the clock. The beaches and other pleasure resorts were calling very definitely, and most people had had just enough of them in the past few days to wish for more. Fortunate folk who had the morning free were early astir, and the city streets were busy with people, some of whom were engaged in shopping expeditions, but most of whom were bound for the pleasure resorts. The early rush on the trams was not heavy, but it was steady, and it increased a* noon approached. There was an appreciable increase in the number* bound for the seaside as soon as the offices closed.
