THREE MEN DROWNED IN STORM ON LAKE.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, January 3. Three experienced fishermen of Cape Hawke, on the North Coast, were drowned this afternoon on Lake Wallis during a violent thunderstorm. The victims were Arthur Prior, aged sixtyseven, and his two nephews, Geoffrey Prior, aged twenty-five, and Stanley Hart, aged twenty-seven. The men were crossing the lake in a fishing launch heavily laden with paraphernalia from the New Year Day sports when the craft sank. Eye-wit-nesses were unable to lend assistance owing to the fury of the storm and the fact that their boats were too small.
