I I 0 DEGREES IN SHADE REGISTERED AT ROMA.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received January 3, 10.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, January 3. Practically the whole of Queensland is in the grip of a heat wave. The maximum temperature at Brisbane was 96 degrees in the shade, but at Roma it went as high as 110 degrees. In this town the post office, several shops and an hotel were destroyed by fire. A station-owner near Kynuna perished when a blaze destroyed his home.
