CYCLING RACES HELD AT LYTTELTON TO-DAY.

The Lyttelton Amateur Cycle Club held a programme of road racing ami novelty races at Lyttelton this afternoon. A large crowd showed considerable interest. Following are the results:— Open Handicap, to Governor’s Bay and back—W. Lester (lOmin) 1, X. Bowden (lOmin) 2, XV. Bethell (13min) 3. G. Bowden (scr) gained fastest time, of Boys, under fourteen, to Rapaki and back—J. Tyro (3min) 1, S. Pago (2£min) 2, A. M'Donald (15min) 3. TI. Cave (scr) gained fastest time, of 29min Joy Cycle Race, for children—B. Green 1, A. Erickson 2, N. Cave 3. Distance, 4 4 oyds. Girls’ Cycle Race, to Corsair Bay and back—F. Forman (scr) 1, A. Blom (30sec) 2, C. Garner (15sec) 3. F. Forman gained fastest time.
