" PAMPERED FARMERS HAVE BEEN SPOON-FED.”

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 17. The Hillside branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants passed the following resolution: “That this meeting emphatically protests against the action of the Government in again granting farmers free railage for lime and unpayable rates for fertilisers and farm produce. This pampered class has been spoon-fed too long at the expense of the general taxpayer and all concessions to farmers should be withdrawn until a higher standard of living is received by wage-earners.”
